Cudillero

Cudillero is a small municipality located in the Central Western Coast of Asturias that has an incredible landscape, with unique beaches, green valleys, rivers and waterfalls, vertiginous cliffs and half mountain with brañas vaqueiras. The municipality combines three distinct cultures, the mariñana (fishermen and farmers located in the marina), the xalda (villagers of the interior valleys) and the vaqueira (discriminated shepherds who occupied the highest parts of the mountains). The capital town has the same name as the municipality: Cudillero, and is a picturesque fishing village -declared a Historic-Artistic Site- in which the houses hang from the mountain in bright colors. Cudillero is an unforgettable town where the fishing atmosphere is fully alive and where gastronomy and landscape combine to form a unique picture.
